The funny thing is that you don't see any of those in Brazil,(btw, any citroen before 90' are hard to come by) in Argentina you can see then in various (often poor) condiciones. Citroen was huge but they wasn't interested in Brazil.

When the hatchback is the "star" (mostly of the development money went for a hatchback, but-maybe-we-can-make-a-sedan-out-of-it)of some model, say... like MK1 Ford Focus, the sedan will mostly of the time look like crap.
The inverse i believe it's the same, see e36 vs e36 ass-impaired.

It was put to death last year. Brazilian laws stated that 2014 on all cars should come with ABS and Airbags.
The Vw bus (Kombi) died for the same reason. Vw tried (the even put abs in it!) but it was killed anyway.
