I bet a good chunk of those people live close enough to the church to walk, or bike, or take the bus
Since it’s a city, the first thing we do is 1) walk then 2)take public transportation (if we are able) or 3) carpool. No one in DC is rushing around in individual cars. That doesn’t make sense. People do that in other parts of the country, but it doesn’t make sense here, logistically or financially.
Because DC’s mass transit actually is fairly horrible on weekends. But it’s not really about any of that. It’s about who “counts” in the city. It’s about gentrification and race. It’s not about bike lanes.
