I don’t see how you could NOT see that someone would be against both of those things. I’m convinced that vaping was invented as a way to make smoking even more obnoxious than it already was. This is a win/win.

Man, I was really liking DQ XI, but I seriously find the midi music completely and totally grating. It’s a huge letdown after the full orchestral introduction to be blown back to mid-90's synthesized midi music that most of the time completely fails to complement the action that’s going on in the game.
I’ve also been playing Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, and I have similar complaints about the bounty system there. Sometimes you get a bounty for doing something even if not one soul is around to see it. Other times, you can stab a mercenary in the neck with no provocation in the middle of a public street and your bounty…
Ugh, if I could get the hours of my life back where I was working from 2-8am every time the clock changed because without fail something would break every. Damn. Time.
No kidding - in my family there was a baby storm this year with four cousins born within two months of each other, spanning two months. Every single one of them has completely different quirks and personalities already even though not one of them is old enough to talk yet.
6 months! He’s a cutie, full of personality.
Ha! It’s funny you should say that. They didn’t tell us he was losing too much weight until we were checking out and they never sent the lactation coach they were supposed to. Pediatrician visit the next day got us what we needed, fortunately. Little guy wasn’t latching properly - it was actually easily resolved once…
I am SO glad I’m not the only one that immediately thought “Stitch? What’s he doing here?”
That storyline was so much fun for me. I think my favorite was the aliens straight up disgust at the idea of anything other than ‘boys are born to men and girls are born to women’.
Oh I agree for the large part - what I don’t like is them getting my purchase history from my credit card company, pairing it with my location data and selling that without my knowledge or consent. I mean, I do most of my mid-size item purchases through amazon, and they still have no idea what I’d like to buy based on…
My wife too. The funny part is that my DVR software recorded it as a ‘you might like this’ and I ended up watching the tail end of a series ( I don’t know which, it was airing on PBS) but it was my wife that got really hooked.
How about the fact that Google is using this data along with data about your credit card transactions which you didn’t consent to give them to track what you buy for advertisers? Personally, I keep GPS turned off unless I’m using it to get somewhere, and otherwise I’m on battery saving location which is a lot less…
The sad part is that it is the biggest hospital in our area, and their prenatal care and the birth itself was outstanding. We were shocked that they dropped the ball basically the minute the little guy was delivered.
You got 4 pages on that? I got SQUAT. My only saving grace is that my wife is a social worker that has a ton of training on kids and such so she already knew a ton going in. They didn’t even tell us not to let the baby sleep on his belly.
It’s true. Mass Effect Andromeda killed an entire franchise because it obviously needed more time to cook when it came out.
I’d say one of the best skills I learned in my 30's after being in the work force a few years is #4. Knowing when to walk away from a game because it has become a chore has been a huge freedom to me for my limited gaming time, all the more so since I got married and had my first kid.
NO JOKE! The number of times I burned to death in this game because I stood next to a brazier & suddenly caught fire is way too high. Ditto with the torch landing in the bushes.
Here lies Kassandra, legendary mercenary, mother of assassins, eagle bearer of Zeus, wielder of the Spear of Leonidas.
Died by accidental…
Oh man, that stupid torch prompt. Shut up, game! Holding a bright ass torch is a little counter-productive when I’m in the bushes trying to sneak up on a guy so I can kill him.
I felt this way about Super Mario Odyssey as well. I felt like I was constantly getting control prompts for things I had done a million times. ugh.
That’s pretty awesome, I seem to remember something like that in a game ages ago - GTA:SA maybe? You could go around and either greet people or cuss them out by pressing one of the d-pad buttons. It felt a lot more real to be able to interact with the random NPC’s you come across on the street.
