I actually have the display of files from the desktop disabled on my machine so even if any files get tossed there by some rude application, I don’t see it. I really hate icon clutter. Get rid of that mess and get something like Launchy.

Ain’t that the truth. My story has more to do with blundering and sheer dumb luck than anything else - if I had only listened to them, I would have probably been a lot worse off.

Yep. I got through college on a combination of scholarships and a grant for low income families. I did end up with a little debt, but it was because the university I went to required summer courses and they weren’t covered by my scholarships or grants. Even then, since I went to a local public university, my loans

I’ve found that some people are literally caricatures of themselves. I’ve no idea if they do it intentionally, to be ironic, or just sometimes those tropes are a thing for a reason... but they just are.

The problem is that there is regulation, it’s just not enforced because AT&T and Verizon basically own the government (along with various other companies).

I hate to be that guy, but I’ve got to say...
The capital is the political center of a nation or state (i.e. Washington D.C. the city) and the capitol is the building where legislators meet.

I feel the same, but for me about 70% of why I hate first person games is resolved by the fact that you’ll actually be playing an actual character with personality rather than a blank slate/silent protagonist, which makes me just disconnect with the game. I mean... I don’t play games to be me in the future, I play

The newer ones also started to penalize people for winning and most if not all of the minigames were all about random chance... Not fun for me or my friends that had been playing them for years.

I guess that’s slightly better than a paper tiger...?

Me too! I’ve been hearing for so many years how great Monster Hunter is and the premise of well, hunting huge monsters appeals to me,... however, I tried the beta/demo of MHW and I just hated the combat so much. HATED it. I couldn’t play it for longer than 15 minutes... so glad I played the demo and not the full game,

I think the real problem with Far Cry 5's difficulty is that it scales inversely with your character. It’s basically the hardest right before you clear the first area (because they turn up the intensity until you beat one of the Seeds... but then turn it all the way down once you do), and then as you clear more and

While for a lot of kids I can see your logic (I know a couple that won’t eat anything that’s not covered in powdered cheese product or breading), it’s not universal. When I go to our favorite sushi place with my nephew, he insists on trying anything I’m eating, and usually loves it (I’ve even seen him try stuff I’m

I got excited for a new flight sim and then saw that it’s an arcade shooter... I blame myself, I should know better. Then again, an arcade shooter is more than I’ve had for many years, so I guess I should be grateful for that.

You guys have single-handedly made these guys social lives explode, bravo.

I played Witcher 3 and read the books and live in the US,... where does that put me? The brush is indeed wide.

Actually, mine used to have that same little icon but they took it away in a software update. Now the only way to know is to hit the input select for the active input and a little HDR tag shows up next to the resolution, but the irony is that that’s only possible if you’re using a 3rd party remote like I am, and not

Honestly, I got a little mad when I started seeing rumblings about a PS5. I think I’ve got burnout from new phones showing up every year.

Honestly, I just make sure to turn off the smooth frame thing on the TV that adds in frames that weren’t there so that I just let the content drive the fps. Another odd side effect that I wouldn’t think that fps would affect is that 60hz can sometimes make CGI show it’s seams a lot more - I remember visiting someones

I have plenty of 4k content - my original post specifically said that I’m constantly wondering if something I’m watching is actually in HDR. Sure, Vudu and Amazon Prime both tell you what quality they’re streaming at, but Netflix sure doesn’t, but really... if it’s that much of an improvement, I really shouldn’t need

I love B99, but I also think it’s run it’s course. I watched the whole thing over the summer but when I got to the latest season it just fell flat for me - not totally unfunny by any means, but I definitely felt like the laughs were not coming hard and fast like they used to.
