“hence the “joke.””

Now that I’ve heard the true story, I amend my initial reaction to

“You understand me, old boy.”

I watched the finale with my mom last night and it evoked so much emotion. We ended up talking for hours about the death of my abusive father and how fucking cathartic, almost primal, it felt to see the maenads defend Celeste and the village’s victorious celebration on the beach.

Just the shot of Bonnie with all the women on the beach at the end was what made the show/finale. It was stunning, like the coven of womanhood was complete and Bonnie’s character had reached her final form. It was healing in a way that even great shows can’t be, especially for women which is usually not focused on

I’m not wondering at all. The cashier would have let that slide right on through.

When we went to Disney World when my daughter was 2.5, she loved Doc McStuffins. We saw Doc at a character station and I swear it’s like God had come down from heaven for her. She reached out slowly and caressed Doc’s face like to test if she was dreaming. She wants to be a doctor just like her some day. Visibility of

That cashier is kind of an asshole.

I would very much doubt it. My guess would be that she would be afraid to directly confront a person of color, but she feels like she and the white girl/parents are all on the same side, and she’s just helping out. But I’m making a lot of unsupported assumptions.

I’m seriously wondering if she would have questioned a Black/Latinx/Asian girl on their choice of a white doll?

Several years ago, my best friend interviewed to be Mel B’s assistant. She said Mel was lovely, and was offered the job, but turned it down because Belafonte was such a nightmare. Thank God she’s finally getting him out of her life.

I totally forgot Meghan Trainor was a thing.

Howard Stern worked with her on AGT and when the news came out a week or 2 ago that Mel left her husband, Stern said something to the effect of “that is not surprising” in a quick comment. He didn’t go deeper with any explanation other than that though.

I hope Mel B and her kids are able to stay safe.

I love love love Shania Twain.

This feels really icky and exploitative regardless of his other work. Sorry. And, there is really no way to tell if it was this or something else on the application that got him accepted, and it’s many times more likely that it was something else.

It also helps if you read the article before you comment.

I don’t think your takeaway about Max is right. Celeste even says with despair that some little boys don’t grow out of it. We know she directly means Perry, but she can also be realizing she has to take ownership of the children she is creating and that denial isn’t working any more. When she goes home she tells Max

A little off topic but one of the best things about BLL is Nicole Kidman’s wig. No shade. I mean it.
