I think you’re slight off here. Most of the female characters are grossly over sexualised, where as the men are grossly idealised. Both are unrealistic and over the top but the men are portrayed as strong and powerful, the women as strong and alluring.

I get what you’re saying but there is a subtle difference. Voldo is a faceless, anonymous character. He’s practically an alien in his movement, ‘hands’ and skin colour. He’s too far out the of mainstream ideals of sexual attractiveness and has been designed to be pitiable.
