I think, beyond the great artwork, it was the writing that fleshed these seemingly shallow stereotypes in to relatable characters. It really was a refreshing surprise.

I would love to see a program where animators discus, nay apologise for, all the cost cutting techniques that leave us with dropped frames, terrible perspectives and poor animation. Not as some kind of damning exposé (lord knows it’s a difficult medium) but as something funny.

Europe is a history of people doing unspeakable things to each other in the name of religion, progress, racism and a dozen other reasons. A French person can still love his country and be aware of it’s ugly history, even take some pride in subjugating the Britons.

Off topic - I’ve never been a fan of the em dash used without spaces but you’re usage is quite compelling. You already own with ellipsis (although you cheat with periods) so I just wanted to doff my cap in your general direction.
