I think, beyond the great artwork, it was the writing that fleshed these seemingly shallow stereotypes in to relatable characters. It really was a refreshing surprise.

I would love to see a program where animators discus, nay apologise for, all the cost cutting techniques that leave us with dropped frames, terrible perspectives and poor animation. Not as some kind of damning exposé (lord knows it’s a difficult medium) but as something funny.
