I certainly wish her peace. She battling something, that’s for sure.

I didn’t said you were excusing her and I hope that kind of behaviour disgusts you. And I guess I did move the goal posts, OR I read up on her apologies and found that they meant nothing if she had no intention of changing. I’m perfectly happy to find I was wrong about that but i’m still deeply cynical. People with

I don’t know how it happened. I grew up in a small town in the north of England. There were no POCs except for a afro-english lad who was adopted to a white family. I grew up using words like Paki and Chink without ever thinking they were slurs, like people use Yanks, Kiwis or Jocks.

Yeah, I was astounded. Now i’m thinking of Bowie’s Major Tom. Lols

After so many incidents an apology loses it’s value. It’s not some kind of post-incident free pass. If she spat in my face in petulant rage, as she has done, then no apology would suffice. I would prefer to see a will to change.

Of course it is more similar. My point is if she is a lesbian (and really who cares anyway) it doesn’t give her a free pass on slurs to gay men.

What a tool. It pisses me off whenever I see someone destroying something either in petulance (or for entertainment). It’s a symptom of a flaw in our character as a society.

My Dad used ‘uncle Tom’ when referring to the US as a nation. He’s English and I’m sure he never knew it was a racially charged slur. Me neither until now.

it’s like j-lo saying the n-word.

I get you but in my experience people with these disabilities are usually self-aware and show great remorse when their illness hurts those around them.

It’s also strange that in her music she is this tough-as-nails badass then doubles down with threatening behaviour - YET now she is playing the victim and is traumatised by the brutality. As if being escorted out of a party is some life-destroying cataclysm.

did you spell Azealia’s name wrong?

Just a bit of photoshop detective work and you’ll find... Dan Radcliffe riding a horse.

Agreed. These questions were exactly what i wanted and because of them I understand Cook more. If they had been missing I would probably think less of Cook because i’d make assumptions.

Cook’s attitude is totally inline with my own. I don’t really have a problem with fan service but it must be contextually relevant.

The Authority was pretty much the last comic book I ever bought and Midnight and his boyf were one of the main reasons. It made no apologies and just felt real.

It’s obvious that the story and characters have been written around a ridiculous sport, the chief point of which is to provide a constant source of fan service. The sport is such a joke that it makes all character development worthless. It may have been better if the tone was more over the top, like Kill La Kill.

This season’s anime is woeful. And I think this is one of the worse offenders. I have zero problems with fan-service but there is simply no compelling story to hang the personalities on.

I agree with what you say but i think it was Gawkers’ holier-than-thou sneer which has made people like Thiel come out of the wood work. They take small stories, like Thiel’s sexual orientation, and run and run with it. They just come off as super privileged judgemental assholes sometimes.

you’re not a heathen, you just don’t buy in to the bullshit vinyl mystique.
