Not true. Most of my friends have a mac laptop and they’re not hipsters or developers. You mentioned poor hardware but the reason they choose Macs is for the operating system (a perceived ease of use) and (to a lesser extent) the trendy Apple logo.

Cheers, I didn’t even know that these dongle things existed. I’ll check them out although I’ll probably just switch to Bluetooth soundbuds and swallow the cost.

I Listen to Audiobook/podcasts mostly and for some reason I go through earbuds very fast. Now i’m trying to work out whether bluetooth will either cost me or save me money (less wires, less breakages? who knows). But there’s an appealing universal easyness and cheapness about a jack.

If I had to guess, the guy is using something like Serato. The turntables are plugged in to a computer and each record (yes real vinyl records) is actually just a single tone. You can then map any digital track(s) to the record. When the DJ slows down/reverses the record the software does the same with the digital

this is incredible!

I moved house recently and found my old Alita novel. It’s still so good and I’m still so paranoid it can’t/will be made in to a film. Prove me wrong Rodriguez... please please.

I honestly feel like i’m on crazy pills when I Ashcraft’s pics. I don’t consider myself petty, and I love Japan, but these posts are [irrationally] infuriating to me.

Does that make you more intelligent than 1 in 5 Americans?

I love to be a sneaky bastard in nearly every game I play, especially with my first playthrough. Now I’ve nearly finished my 3rd playthrough on Crushing and it is bloody marvelous.

Jean Paul Gaultier

in the GIF, why would he do the whole ‘oh shit I mustn’t touch the floor’ when he’s over a garden path?

I need to rewatch The Host, I thought it was a comedy... with some scary bits.

of course we’re allowed to disagree. I’ve lived in the UK and now in NZ and I use millimetres for everything; measuring a table 1200mm (nobody says 1.2 metres) Business card 55mm. Millimetres are bloody ace!

This is exactly what i thought.

I thought it was a chromosome thing at first but then ‘Y’ahoo of course

Your argument to switch to metric (which I support) is because the current system (United States customary units) is based on the English system used before the the British imperial system was established, which in turn can be traced back to european/Roman beginnings?

How is a yard any more ‘useful’ than a meter (you know they have centimeters and millimeters don’t you)?

This is the future I predict. Super clever but practically dumb.

I saw this video and it blew my mind. I’m way too old to a hipster, or be into manual labour, but the ingenuity and craftsmanship of these early designs is something to be recognised, nay revelled in.

What I really want is a video like this which explains why an RGB colour looks different in photoshop, word and web browsers. Oh and how printing a document at 100% is not the same as fill page.
