Antonio Brown plays in the NFL. Britney Taylor does not. I agree that there should be coverage for Britney Taylor, but the NFL on CBS/FOX is not the programming that’s appropriate for since they’re covering the NFL, not a civil case. MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, etc. I would expect those to cover both sides more equally but

My point is exactly this: it’s a civil suit allegation. There’s no criminal charges. Innocent until proven guilty. And Diana would like to see people alleging being given credibility and power by a national broadcast company. The broadcast didn’t GIVE Brown power. CBS broad strokes were, “hey Brown is being accused

It’s impressive how many not-particularly-well-known cuts from their first handful of albums just rock.

I agree the cult of Billy is exhausting and frustrating, but daaaaaaamn the Pumpkins had some awesome rock songs.

And then one time he says “If you rake forests, forest fires are finished.” then the next time it’s “Raking forests is why the Finnish never have forest fires.” then the next it’s “I was talking to the President of Finland - great leader, they love me in Finland - and he told me that they don’t have forest fires

In all seriousness, let’s say 1M+ people actually do show up and for the sake of this thought exercise, let’s say they show up unarmed with only their sheer numbers as their ‘weapon’.

So...we’re taking two kid’s protests of “I didnt do it” over an elected neighborhood councilman’s? This is not journalism, this article. Is everything on the Root this biased and trigger outraged without knowing or stating the opposing viewpoints or evidence? Be black and you’re automatically a victim and in the

Bone hugs in harmony.

Laffs fan here. Watching Marchand have a defensive aneurysm at the end of the first resulting in the second goal, then losing the game, then crying on the bench, then crying at the press conference....I feel like WE won the cup as well.
I feel warm, I feel fuzzy, and my outlook on life is rosy.

Thank you St. Louis.

I’m trying to picture my responses upon blowing my nose and having a bunch of shit from inside my face try to squirt its way up out my eye socket. All I can guarantee is that “I humbly apologize for not finishing the fight” would not be in the top ten.

Not dirty at all. As a player, you have to be cognizant of where the player you’re trying to hit is, especially in relation to the boards, so it was definitely the right call to give Sundqvist two minutes for boarding. But one would be really hard pressed to say there was an intent to injure here.

Two minutes for boarding is exactly the right call here. Sundqvist didn’t raise an elbow, didn’t cross-check, didn’t go head-hunting. The result of the play absolutely sucks, obviously, but there doesn’t appear to be any malicious intent here.

This was like getting brake checked. Sure, he gets a penalty. However it WAS Grzelcyk’s fault for losing his balance and shaking like that.  His crappy skating and balance made the routine hit worse than it should’ve been.

His forearm never touched his head; it was underneath Grzelcyk’s arm. Inital contact was actually his hip and his shoulder followed through and hit his head.

That’s not a suspendible hit. Grzelcyk was falling awkwardly into the boards as he was hit and Sundqvist did not jump into the hit. The injury was very much due to Grzelcyck not being straight, and while it’s certainly a boarding penalty, that’s a complete overreaction if Sundqvist is going to miss a game.

311's problem is that all their songs sounded the same.

The Sharks are in a really bad hole here.  It’s going to take everything in the referee’s power to bail them out the next two games.

I think the support for that assertion comes from the fact that many of the key pieces of the Rams’ success were put in place during their final years in St Louis and the drafts just after they left. The firing of Jeff Fisher and IMMEDIATE turnaround of the team under new leadership certainly gives the impression that

Now the Rams fanbase can kick in on a GoFundMe campaign to reimburse Robey-Coleman for his $26,739 fine. Unfortunately, that’s gonna work out to about to $8,900 per person...

So he could get hit by a bus.  I just fucking said that
