I add flax seed to mine. Not only it is better, since my blender chops them up which is how you get the nutrients from them, but it’s a whole lot better than sneaking them in my meatloaf, where my husband can totally tell I’m pulling one over on him.

Agreed! Oats thrown into my morning protein shake have been my staple breakfast for years. I’ve found that quick-cooking oats blend better and don’t wreak havoc on your stomach as much as whole or steel-cut varieties.
