The Regal GS is pretty sweet.
The Regal GS is pretty sweet.
I’ve been seeing a lot more of the retro 2000s Thunderbirds on the road lately, and was just starting to think that they’re kind of cool and would maybe be an interesting thing to consider.
This. So much this. I’d like to add cost to that. I commute to Boston every day for work, 50mi round trip. I do it in my ‘12 GMC sierra and I average 17mpg. The commuter rail is also 1mi from my house in case I want to take that.
Maybe I’m jaded from the time I got to drive one. It couldn’t put the power down (unlike the 599 GTB I drove on the same day), and the brakes had ZERO feel. I’m not sure what Merc did to the ceramic brakes, but it was like sleeping on your foot until you lose all feeling, and then trying to brake.
It will run on gas but you have to add motor oil to the gas to lube the injector pump.
I love you.
The government should step in and threaten to impose a standard. Perhaps the DOE or DoT can be the face for the threat. Then the government can allow the car companies to have a certain amount of time to hash out their own standard for vehicle charging, which must satisfy certain mandates. These might include a plan…
Other than low speed turns... Man I hated backing our deuce fire truck into the garage.
Pretty sure those will run on tinned shoe polish.
I did that this summer. Except the car wasn’t new. And it was a private owner. And I did a 401k loan for the cash.
Agreed, there’s a car that doesn’t really stand out in any way (cars like the Journey) and then there’s a truly bad car (one that falls apart sooner than most others and leaves you stranded).
What sucks is that you have to use the USB port for Android Auto functionality and the Fruit equivalent and then you miss fast charging.
this. EVERYBODY DEUCE AND A HALVES ARE THE FUTURE!!! WE MUST BUY DEUCE AND A HALVES TO SAVE THE ENVIROMENT!!!
This is when the US govt needs to step in and make a universally accepted plug type, just like everything in your home. Pay the winning designer, and allow everyone to adopt the design.
Luckily there is already a standard in place with the SAE port. The issue is that people want to develop their own to capture long term customers. In fact the SAE J1772 standard was in the works since 2008 and built ground up to be improved in the future. Anything people add now that is not based on a standard that…
Only good thing about the different electric standards are that simple plug adapters help with some of that. More advanced adapters could be made for differences in DC or AC or the voltage difference. One standard will eventually rule them all, like the VHS and Betamax wars.
I mean you can do up to 5A charging with a USB C port, so lets just make a plug that’s a huge array of those to charge with.
#3 is easy. Hosea.
I always go through the dealers financing because it nets the best deal. Then a month later, I call the finance company, get the payoff quote, and mail a personal check.
Did it in 2016. Wrote a check for my mustang gt.
