I’ve been writing personal checks for the last 4 car purchases (not all of them new.) The reality of “investing the difference” is completely overblown unless you get a long, zero int loan *and* you invest that money in a high risk investment.

I tend to agree but it needs more explanation. I have only sold 1 boat, but have bought several. Yes the first day is great, and yes selling it is great, but the in between is also usually good. You don’t think about selling a boat until it either costs you a lot of money or you don’t use it anymore so at that point…
