It is about dried/cured meats, along the lines of stuff like salami and pepperoni (although I’m sure for hardcore charcuterie people there is probably all sort of other types of more obscure preserved meats) and you’re pretty much right in terms of pronunciation. Typically when someone says “x amount of hours fasting” it’s meant as continuous. So if they eat breakfast at 6 am, they wouldn’t eat again until 6 pm. I do agree with you that it’s more fun, but as I’ve gotten older, my usual Smash buddies have moved to other cities for jobs, families and whatnot. If nothing else, having solid multiplayer services will let me play with them again, and I’ll also have access to a wider player pool so I can find good competition.
