I'll take you on in my S-10 with a 2.2L 4-cylinder and a 4-speed automatic. Should be a pretty even matchup.

Please let me know if this happens, and if it’s reasonably close to Dallas, I’ll do my darnedest to be there with my S-10.
Wow, that was informative. Do you happen to have a link to a place where curious people might read more about it?
His name is Jack. He looks like this:
If $37,890 is your idea of "dirt cheap," then you, my friend, are paying way too much for dirt.
I believe 4Runners still do that, don't they?
This makes me remember the tailgate on the Buick Roadmaster station wagon I rode around in as a kid. The glass would open up, like normal; the tailgate would open downward like on a truck, or it could also open to the side, like this:
As a lot of commenters have already pointed out, the problem is that people associate tall sidewalls with cheap, base-spec cars. The solution is obviously to bring back whitewalls.
Train brakes are pneumatic, but it was still a little funny.
I’m an engineer at a company that builds railcars. A few of our customers ask for roller bearing retainer keys, little pieces of metal that get riveted underneath the truck side frame to hold the bearing in place in a derailment. But yeah, most cars don’t have those.
Pretty sure my company built at least some of those autoracks (that's what those railcars are called). I don't really know much about that specific type of car; I work mostly with covered hoppers and gondolas. But I would definitely be interested to know more about the cause of this derailment.
Sad, but true.
I actually like the black album, though. It definitely did a lot to make Metallica (and metal in general) “mainstream,” which could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. Either way, it’s got some good music on it, even if it’s not what the true fans might have wanted. It broke the pattern of…
Do you ever listen to all of an artist’s studio albums in chronological order? I'm fortunate to have a job where I can listen to music for most of the day, so I do that sometimes. As a starting point for Metallica, this album is great because it has this raw, unrefined quality to it, and the songwriting is mostly…
I used to not really like the looks of the 2nd-gen S-10, but the longer I have mine, the more I appreciate the simple, purposeful styling. It’s curvy, but without looking bulgy and bloated like Chevy’s full-size pickups of the time. I think these are future classics.
1. People still pay to have CD players installed in their cars in 2019 A.D.?
You seem like a pen snob. I don’t mean that in a bad way; it’s cool to know what you like and why you like it. While those pens may be objectively superior to the G2 (I don’t know; I’ve never tried them), part of the value of the G2 is in its availability. Somehow, even if you’ve never actually bought one, you…
The Pilot G2 is the only pen that really matters. Think about all the other pens you have scattered throughout your house. Some of them might work OK if you’re mindlessly doodling or keeping score in a game of Scrabble, but when you really need to write down a phone number or sign an important document, you can almost…
Would you rather own a car you love but can’t drive (you can buy other cars if you want), or own only one car that you hate, but have to drive? For example, this Beetle, or David Tracy’s brother’s Dodge Caliber?
It depends on a few things:
