My UK autocorrector told me it was a single l when I typed it, typical :)

Yay! I've missed my weekly instalments. Oh and:

Another "chain" you could use is a class register. In school my teachers had registers with a list of dates at the top (across, dates written vertically) and names down the side, on day 1 when you were present you got a / and on day 2 you got a \. If you were absent you got a O in red. What makes this better is you

Constant tweeting serious bugs me. I was following someone who tweeted 5 tweets at a time 3-4 times a day as according to her "it's when all my followers are on!" I unfollowed and a few weeks later most of her followers were gone too. Surprise!

This software is free, just like a lot of software for Macs. What point were you trying to make with your last sentence?

I have a rechargeable LED torch, as well as a regular one. I've never had a problem with either of them and have had them for years - I think I replaced the batteries on the LED once in the 10 years I had it after accidentally leaving it on when I went on holiday and left it behind.

There was an offer with the iOS app for a while when iOS 5 was released, I'm not sure it's still available though.

I upgraded to the Pro version when they were having a black Friday/Cyber Monday sale and it's definitely worth it. You can wirelessly send to the iOS version (if you care about that), and IIRC the free version doesn't re-arrange the notes depending on how many sub-nodes you have.

On the other hand if you're signing up to do a specific program which includes training for you and a longer period in the school it's probably worth it. I'm qualified as a teacher of English as a foreign language and I'm spending a school year working in Germany, after I graduate from my languages degree I hope to

Entering the transaction into what? I'm guessing you want an Android/iOS and Desktop combo? I use Money by Jumsoft for my personal tracking :)

What (preferably free/cheap) software would people recommend for tracking business expenses? I use a Mac and iOS, but suggest things for any platform so others can use this too :)

I've asked for chocolates and socks, tights and a gelaskin for my Kindle. I have a wishlist of things but I currently live in a different country which will make bringing things back from visiting my family hard, plus I doubt any of them will buy me a 27" top of the range iMac... I do have a wishlist of lots of things

I personally just attach a large safety pin to the end of the cord - quite easy for threading, quick and no hassle to me :)

Hehehe, this sounds familiar!

With the iTunes tip you can right click on the track and "Create new *** version" (the *** being whatever you normally rip tracks as). Do this twice (once for each song) and then delete the original track - space saved too :)

What's the coolest thing you've ever done for Lifehacker? :)

Vote: Money by Jumsoft.

How much fun do you guys have making the videocasts? :)

When I was actually moving out of the country then all my service providers wanted me to "put my account on hold", even telling them I'd be gone over a year didn't help! Fortunately asking to speak to a supervisor did....

I open my curtains and shutters, it's amazing how quickly you can wake up with some really bright natural light. Cold water is for winter only :)
