I grew up in a town that is currently 8,054. Everything I have heard in that song happened in that town. The idea these people act like rednecks don’t spit on cops or run from the cops or cook meth or... Good bad the song is full of shit. 

You’d see the evening news of the big city (1 hour away) and see all sorts of crime and think, man, I got it good here. We had access to the good parts of the city museums, zoos, sporting events.

For the life of me, I still don’t know why the “fanboys” would dislike this movie without seeing it first. Is it because they just hate women, Girl Power or Brie Larson specifically for some made up reason?

I don’t understand the point you are trying to make. Might makes right? I run a YouTube channel for my job. It only has a few hundred subscribers. Does that mean that the Mr. Beast channel is “better”? It’s two completely different channels, with different audiences, created for two completely different reasons.…

Fact of the matter is, I misread your OC. I thought you meant you were skeptical of the people who chose to heed this wish (i.e. were impugning them), not skeptical that people would heed this wish, which is pretty obviously the most natural reading of what you said (and I assume what you meant). That’s the part that really confuses me about it. What’s the point of “following” someone if it doesn’t affect your feed? Like... maybe I’m just old, but if I find someone, click ‘follow’, I would assume that there would be a “stuff from people you follow” page. Absolutely destroys my mind.

Part of the dropping engagement must be new people using it a lot for the first time, and then dropping down to normal levels once they've explored it.
