You can just cancel the kickstarter before it ends if you are afraid you can’t meet fulfillment. Or most cases if you think you are going to go that high factor it into the pricing.

I feel it would be really easy to prove retaliation when your boss seems like the guy that would proudly announce that it is retaliation on twitter. 

That makes sense. There is no short description to say why something is trending anymore. So I realized people were gone due to that, but not realizing how much they did.
