I know, right? It’s like, did Lincoln do anything in his second term?
Yes. Sisters.
That’s the thing. If Kobe were, like, 5% worse as a player, he’d be treated like Ron Artest or Latrell Spreewell.
Yep.
It would also make things less safe for batters, who wouldn’t know if a pitch was really coming, and probably cause more arm injuries in pitchers.
I’m gonna go out on limb and say she’s a ‘I only get along with guys’ kinda chick.

I totally agree for most places, but I don’t see a problem for local politics in places that are already deep blue. My city doesn’t even bother with Republican candidates, and so a liberal third-party challenger (is there something besides greens and socialists?) wouldn’t be terrible. That’s certainly the case with…
That’s kinda how it works. I found out about a good candidate for the state board of education (Ismael Ahmed! Everybody in Michigan vote for Ismael Ahmed!) because a friend from high school knows his son. Local politics, man.
To the first one, housing applications by African Americans were marked by Trump employees with a ‘C’. You can probably guess what that stood for.

I feel the same way. I think part of it is that I just don’t like the Ringer’s layout and design, whereas Grantland’s was great.
Not a question, I just wanted to say that I read Deadspin all the time and love the site, and I also like the political HamNo and Feinberg posts too. ‘Stick to sports’ is bullshit.
My God YES

tl;dr: They’re not players cause they fuck a lot.
You’re not wrong that these jobs can be done with very little training. The problem is that our economy is becoming more reliant on service-oriented jobs similar to these, and a constantly growing segment of the population derives their primary income from them.
As a former Harvard TA, I would’ve gone on strike just to make this one student shut the fuck up already.
