The Grinder is amazing. So pissed about that.

Perhaps, but there’s a difference between calling the Hoffa-era Teamsters corrupt (which they certainly were) and attacking the very idea of collective bargaining, which is what a lot of these campaigns have been about.

The decline of unions since the 70s is not the result of workers just deciding spontaneously that they were better off without them. It is the result of a dedicated, ideologically driven campaign to weaken laws that promote collective bargaining and create a public perception that unions are corrupt, bad for business,

Please. His name is Ryan Schnozling.

You’re right about a lot of Republican hate for Hillary, which is 1) almost entirely driven by misogyny and 2) absolutely fictitious.

Is this your first day paying attention to American politics? People still think Hillary murdered Vince Foster, and he died in like 1994. No amount of hand-waving, even if accurate and justified, would make that situation any less of a political problem.

I like that a lot.

Is there by any chance a rule/expectation that a judge in those circumstances would have to declare the distant conflict of interest? Like, I can see why she wouldn’t recuse herself because her husband’s link with Sony is indirect and weak, but, in the interest of avoiding the appearance of impropriety, would she have

Except if the message that the bulk of the Republican party is not tainted by white nationalism convinces enough Republicans to vote only Hillary, but feel like they can still support non-Trump Republicans with a clear conscience. I’m not saying there’s a clear strategy for Democrats here, but there are many ways this

To be fair, that’s a pretty good strategy for developing real estate. Which means Trump won’t follow it.

Apparently pets with all black fur get adopted at lower rates than other colors, so that statement might actually be true!

Related question that always bugged me: do wizards actually need money, in a capitalistic sense? Like, there are examples of spells and enchantments creating food and houses out of thin air. Maybe you need to own a house to enchant it, but other than, like, clothes, I don’t know what daily expenses a wizard would

I think that’s a really apt analogy. I would disagree, though, that it’s to protect secrets (I mean, the whole wizarding world is itself secretive), but to regulate guild membership. Which is how it worked with most historical guilds; the silversmiths weren’t trying to keep silversmithing a secret, just set boundaries

From what I read she made the deal with TBS before Stewart announced his retirement, but she already kinda knew she wasn’t going to get the Daily Show chair. When TBS made an offer (a production deal for two shows, which is much bigger than a hosting gig alone), she and her husband took it.

Look, man, it’s...progress?

No, but I know the difference between something that I might not want personally and something that’s broadly good. I would rather the practices employed in these settings were the most effective at lessening everyone’s chances for infection.
