These issues are getting completely blown out of the water though. I would bet good money that the vast majority of Switch users have not experienced any of these issues-you only hear complaints from a fairly vocal minority.

The same way people threw Wii Remotes into their TV screens - people are careless and/or dumb.
I have noticed a slight tendency with people on the internets to enjoy a bit of ye ol’ drama now and then, now that you mention it...
Because there is nothing to worry about. A lot of overblown drama about all of this.
Every time this happens, I’m fascinated and confused.
No. That’s not what Final Fantasy 15 did.
“There’s absolutely no lore or narrative and the story is incomplete and idiotic.”
“there never would of been another dawn”
You know, I hate to be a real killjoy here. The OP who came up with the lore translation was very very clever but I dunno... I really don’t think squenix thought that hard about lore, given the severe shallowness of the rest of the game... just saying
Dark souls/demon souls is intentionally vague from start to finish.
Dark Souls actually does it well though. Like, everything in those games is done well. FFXV is extremely hit & miss. Mostly miss.
Incomplete. Dark Souls, and Demons Souls and Kings Field never had a driving narrative or story to guide the player. It was ALWAYS about wandering into the unknown and piecing it together for yourself. FF on the other hand has always been about story, cutscenes, dialogue, descriptions.
It’s reminiscent of a Destiny raid in that it plays by different rules than anything else in the game, and it never quite explains itself. It’s fantastic.
Fan submitted lore really thrives in incomplete games. I saw this same thing happen in FFXIII. This magical endgame dungeon that everyone views as an incredible departure from the pace of FFXV I simply view as a tacked on and incomplete poorly thought out project that one of the devs was permitted to add. Nothing…
Nor does it explain what ANYTHING means
You can’t go a single article without referencing Destiny despite other Final Fantasy games having had secret dungeons and things similar to this.
Holy shit, do people actually take memes this seriously? They’re funny pictures with captions not a doctoral thesis on existentialism.
To osu:
The game was released unfinished and with tons of left-out story. Tabata has no grasp of narrative or storytelling. I don’t know how people see this game as a success.
You’re high.
