“Restructure the Police”
“Restructure the Police”
Because the slogan stops before you get to the actual change demanded by activists, which is that instead of just shunting endless money towards the police that money is instead diverted to other public services such as education, housing, mental health etc to avoid the need for police to be involved in the firstplace.…
Surely if anything how Florida voted against Biden for being a “socialist” despite being centre-right in quite a number of regards yet then voted for a $15 min. wage, literally socialist market interference, show’s the problem is all about one of presentation and not policy which is something that seemingly all wings…
When I was in college in the early 90's, I shared an apartment with a friend of mine in northern Alabama. Small, cotton town, with lots of large plantation homes scattered throughout our county. We lived in the Pryor Manor, right off of the courthouse square. The house was probably close to 150 years old. The Pryors…
I look forward to this every October! So here’s my contribution...
Slavic folk beliefs are my weird specialty and I would literally kill for a domovoi. I’m actually doing research on house spirits right now for an exhibit proposal, so heres some traditional domovoi advice.
I’ve recently become very keen on Duckworth as a VP pick—she has the Senate experience, is a decorated combat vet, mother, and all-around badass while remaining humble. There is little Trump can do to criticize her that doesn’t make him look (more) awful (does that even matter any more?).
The worst thing about the CDC’s info page about it is this little gem towards the end:
Samesies.
Why are we hating on poor Moon?
Today’s bracket was the most confusing to me as an old. I’d never heard of The Wing or e-boys, and I have no idea why we hate the moon.
Brands of Twitter (6) or Astrology (11)? Pick one: Cancel Culture (2) or Cryptocurrency (15)?
I’d be down to cancel “Cancel Culture”, if we define it as the whiny bleat of someone getting pushback for being a shitty human being. That’s far more aggravating than actual cancel culture, which really doesn’t exist and is much less corrosive than shitheaded pissants who rail against “snowflakes” and grossly…
Hey, it takes white men a LOT of work to get to mediocre, okay?!?
Exactly - the “entourage effect.” CBD derived from marijuana and CBD derived from hemp aren’t comparable.
I find that my high-CBD, trace-THC flower that I vape (strain name Canna Bliss, it’s 20:1 CBD:THC at least) very quickly takes the edge off of anxiety I experience due to an anxiety disorder. It has a calming effect, and I’ve rapidly taken several draws wondering if it was really doing anything, only to feel what I…
My wife uses RSO that is 10:1 CBD:THC for residual limb pain, and it seems to work for her fairly well. Of course, that’s a very small sample size and I cannot rule out a placebo effect, but there you are.
My personal experience here is that that is correct. The CBD I got in Colorado is awesome, the hemp derived stuff I've bought in my own lame ass state not so much at all. The Colorado product has slightly more THC and is either indica or sativa derived. Not all cannabis is created equal.
What do you think is a good cbd:thc ratio? I’m trying to take a break from heavy thc for anxiety purposes, so I’m trying some cbd heavy products (I like in a legal recreational state) but not sure what will actually be effective.
I work in a “natural foods” type place and it takes all my self-control to not use the words “snake oil” when yet another person asks me about fasting or essential oils or CBD anything. And I say that as a longtime cannabis enthusiast who does believe in the effects of CBD - but only in combination with THC. CBD-only…
That’s what I’ve heard, too. I buy mine at a dispensary, and it does have trace amounts of THC. It seemed to help my dog with joint pain from old age and nausea from kidney failure, and it does help with my anxiety and a nighttime dose makes me sleep SO WELL.
