What didn't you like about Wonder Woman?

I cannot see Eva Green playing a boring white girl from Wisconsin. She plays the same femme-fatale-ish character in every film. She would have been miscast and I am over her since she supported Polanski.

I do agree that superheroes are silly for the most part.

I would like to point out that The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is not sublimely depressing. At least the way it ended was not.

Logan was successful and it was very serious. There were some comedic moments but no silliness even with the more eccentric mutants like Caliban. It was also by far the best superhero film in almost a decade. So I disagree that it is apples to oranges and can't be done. It can.

These Marvel films all get good reviews, but they are all so generic and bland. That can be said of most superhero films. Rinse and repeat 3-4 times every year. They lack creativity and innovation.

I really loved the film, but the title always reminds me of Boss Baby.

You are a trip!

Personally, I didn't like either the original or the remake. Sofia is mostly a privileged idiot and I trust her as much as she trusts herself to include a slave in this film. I have a feeling we would have gotten Scarlett O'Hara and Mammy again or something else more vile and I very sadly loved Gone with the Wind.

I really loved The Others and The Hours, but man, all that botox she has gotten is hard to ignore, especially in a period piece. She was great in Big Little Lies this year and I wasn't distracted by her botox in that, but in this, it's just hard not to pay attention. Lmao.

I loved this film.

You gave Wonder Woman a B- and this a B. It must be really good.

I love this film.

Still the best series finale ever.

1) My argument is valid even if he did not steal scenes from Diana. My argument is that his character was written well as a love interest because he is a white man. It still stands.

It is not a copout. I doubt it is a coincidence that the first love interest written well in a comic book movie in years happens to be a male in a female-led movie. Steve isn't even that complicated to write and these writers could have been doing this for their hundreds of female love interests in blockbusters for a

Yikes! I guess I won't be giving this a try.

Is Marcia Gay Harden equivalent in it?

I don't think this will lead to studios hiring more female directors or having more female action stars. People are fans of Wonder Woman. What comes after will likely not do well. I have a feeling Captain Marvel is going to suck.

The first female led superhero movie, and the male romantic interest gets the role all the female love interests deserved all along. It's annoying to see.
