Nissan Versa curb weight: about 3350 lb (1520 kg) whereas the Tsuru is around 2085 lb (946 kg).

I work for a company that designs and builds them. It’s pretty easy to tell if one has been neglected or if a machine is new (flashing lights and stuff like that).

How the machine contacts the vehicle involves a lot more technology these days to sense where the vehicle is (ultrasonics, light curtains) and to know how hard the brush is pushing (air pressure regulators, torque sensing in the frequency drives, etc.), so it is less likely to press so hard that it rips things off.

I think technology may have improved in the last 41 years.
