I used to jailbreak my iPhone 4 but I NEVER stole an app. Neither Ohdeargawk nor I are saying we steal apps. A good chunk of this story is basically saying that jailbreaks won't be easy to come by on future phones. I've probably spent at least a couple hundred bucks on apps and media over the year.

The typical consumer will only pay $200 for an iPhone. The typical high end android smartphone costs about $200. No one is being cheap here. The website claims it is manufactured in the USA. Even if that is wrong, being made in China doesn't necessarily mean something is a POS made with slave labor. It was more of a rhetorical question. China isn't the contributor. They're just manufacturing what we and the rest of the world want them to manufacture. It's like blaming the car for using up so much gasoline when you could just go for a bike ride or a nice walk.

That's interesting. If that is the case, then like you say it must only be for certain movies because movies played on my iPad seem to be OK. One thing you could try is setting your netflix player as multichannel and having your TV or other device handle the demuxing.

I've never used a cookie cutter before, but I can tell you right now they probably used to much cookie dough. And they probably used the wrong type of dough (too soft).

I'm not condoning bottled water, I'm just saying that the truth is bottled water really is filtered and purified beyond tap water or it really is from natural springs. You don't have to lie about bottled water to dissuade people from drinking it.
