@Cpryd001: It's not id Tech 5. Todd Howard stated that this engine is unsuitable for The Elder Scrolls/Fallout. There's only one project he's been actively working on: Skyrim. I think a degree of common sense needs to be used here.

@capeo: The Eurogamer article simply states that they're reusing some older tech. It's common practice for older stuff to be incorporated into new technology. Todd Howard even says it's "inspired by technology we have" and that the old stuff is just a "starting point". It's clearly not the same old Gamebryo engine.

@Nibel: It's been confirmed that ESV will use a new proprietary engine.
