@orionpk: Well given that "next gen" consoles need to use vastly increased GPU and CPU power, it's not unreasonable at all for it to require extra ventilation. The components are going to get far hotter than older systems.

@brass2themax: Well, time will tell if this becomes a major problem. If it starts shutting off regularly, because of poor console design, then it's a big, big deal.

@killdanzig: It was due to interference. Afterwards, everyone said the game controls perfectly fine.

Well they obviously did something different to garner that immense third party support for the 3DS.

Actually, I've found that a great deal of the rumours this year have been spot on.

@Pitsniffer: Well a couple of years ago, there were a whole bunch of games that everyone kept demanding for the Wii. Interestingly enough, Kid Icarus was the only one of those games not to receive the revival treatment.
