Damn it Nintendo, just announce a Virtual Handheld service for the DSi and everyone will snap them up. Well, I certainly would anyway.

@Mykalwane: In a nutshell - it was personally financed by the developers, therefore they had no obligation to actually finish the game by any specific deadline. So they kept starting again with new technology, because they were determined that it should be the best game it could possibly be. Then they ran out of
