I haven't had experience with Teksavvy, but I don't think I was charged an install fee with Acanac, but I already have cable in place and I live in house. I'd assume if you have cable installed they'd just send you the modem. You should probably call the ISP to find out though.

If you're near Toronto or Quebec City/Montreal, switch to a smaller ISP, Teksavvy or Acanac. I'm rolling 25 Mb/s Unlimited data for 40 bucks a month on Acanac, personally, its plenty fast, goes up to 30 Mb/s sometimes. Rogers and Bell is shit.
