You can make fun of it all you want. IMO, it's a piece of underpowered useless overpriced shit. Doesn't change the fact that it's not next gen. It shares a release window with the WiiU, Xbone and PS4. Therefore, 8th (next)-gen.
Console generations are considered by release window. Not computational power.

Not a port, a remake. A port implies the original code from the arcade version was used. A remake is made from scratch. Still awesome though. Although, de-make is an acceptable term for this, which I see you did use.
