Can someone please explain to me what the “structural problems” are here, and how forgiving World Cup qualifying exacerbates it? What I’m getting out of the article is that our players are bad and better teams than us have a harder time qualifying - I’m not sure there’s much of a causal relationship there.

Couldn’t you just Ctrl+F and replace “2018" with “2014? And then replace “United States” with “Mexico”?

This is dumb moralizing. If they qualify for the tournament, they deserve to make the tournament.

Bills fan here... I can understand signing Webb because he plays special teams and he’s ostensibly the 4th string QB. Plus w/ Tyrod as the starter it makes sense to have a backup who runs the same offense.
