I’ve been following this story, thanks for the closure. It’s about time Goodyear got their comeuppance.

I absolutely hate the Goodyears that came on my car. Horrible traction in any weather, and they squeal at every intersection regardless of speed. This story just ensures I’ll never buy another set.

Same here, I look forward to the regular G159 updates.

My dad used to have a few tire stores that sold a lot of Goodyears (among other brands). They gave him a free set of demo tires for my mom’s minivan. It was a “revolutionary” new car tire they wanted tire dealers to push hard.

Keep in mind, Goodyear owns several subsidiary brands. Tread carefully.

Kudos to Jalopnik for keeping this story in the news. It’s how a coverup gets the attention it needs. Reminds me of Reuters keeping their detained journalists in Myanmar on the front page every day, long after the other news outlets stopped reporting on it

Oddly enough they’ll be replacing the OE Wranglers that came on my F-150...

Duratracs are great tires. But I agree, I wouldn’t give Goodyear another dime. I almost want to rip the Wrangler SR-A’s my truck came with off and buy something made by someone else.

You’ll know they’re worried if Goodyear execs start staying more frequently at Trump properties.

You know, I’m in the market for a set of tires for my truck and the Duratrecs seemed like a good option but after seeing all of this... Think I’ll pick a different option.
