Disappointed that no one has brought up the Hell's Satans.

@MagicTrackpad: Big whoop, so they have...err, had, two of them. That were given to the government by Lamborghini more as a PR move than anything else. I'd like to see that hop a curb. And besides, this Z06 is a lot cheaper to maintain: [2.bp.blogspot.com]

@mkbruin: Orange County FL Sheriff has a ton of "exotic" police cars. Among the scads of Grand Cherokees and F150s you'll find several Grand Prix GTPs, a diesel Touareg, and a TDI Passat.

@Kevin: Actually according to NHTSA statistics, the B-body Caprice had a slightly *HIGHER* rate of fire/explosion in very high speed rear crashes, and it's plainly obvious why, if you look under the ass end of one.

I remember a university study some years ago that, in a nutshell, stated that the the fuel economy of the nation's entire fleet of vehicles could be increased by up to 15% just by properly timing lights.

My grandfather loved his big Chryslers, and my uncle and my dad both worked on cars constantly; dad was a mechanic for a good while, too, and being poor we always had something that needed worked on. I started helping about the time I turned 5 and learned more and more stuff as I got older.

I wonder how well that center stack is gonna age, once it gets covered in grimy fingerprint oils and dirt...

@SAThorn: What happens if the plane runs into a giant beanstalk?

Make mine a Cummins!

@$kaycog: Nope, they're wherever the frame/unibody is strongest, which is typically out to the side like that.

You guys are all looking at this wrong. We're now one step closer to the magical 37-speed transmission used in the Mustang in "Bullitt," and how can that POSSIBLY be a bad thing?

It definitely needs a few more Audi logos on it. The prominent logo at each... err, wheel(?) and the one on the roof(?!?!) aren't nearly gauche enough.

@UmayMedusa: Even the fattest Fairlane isn't even close to 5,000lb. Try closer to 3300lb, and that's before the racers get to doing their weight reduction thing.

@BrtStlnd: VIVA IN EL VAN CIRCA DE LA RIO!
