Even that won’t happen because India/China/Pakistan are too close for 100% effect ABM shields. None of those 3 countries will give up the security blanket nukes provide: especially not Pakistan since they fear that’s their only defence against the conventionally overwhelming military of India.

If you lot were to pitch a completely fresh io9 themed comic, what would it be like?

I also wanted to point out, Nicky Case also made one of the toughest games I ever played through on an emotional level.

Hmm I thought the monsters in ‘The Mist’ are todash creatures, drifting into our world when the military breaks into todash space through the arrowhead project.

As far as I remember, there’s another moon that we know is facing similar stresses and are about to fall apart: Saturn’s Epimetheus

So, as someone who has never actually seen any of the Stargate properties and has little idea about it (other than whatever I picked up through cultural osmosis) what would be a good place to start?

Oh man Ooty and Kodaikanal are the two most naturally beautiful places in South India IMO.

Seems like it would be a great idea to seed as many planetary bodies as we can reach within the solar system with tardigrades. Will potentially teach us a lot about the evolution of life.

Yeah that was me being a dum dum

Oh god

The cast actually looks really good actually especially Idris Elba as the Man in Black. But why does everything feel so generic? It looks like a Fox Fantastic 4 movie.

I apologize for my assumptions.

Honestly, I assume this is first time you’re hearing of this problem, but just in my experience, Americans have been rejecting teams from Sudan, Syria and Somalia long before the current disaster of an administration. I tried enrolling a mixed gender Syrian team in 2009 for a space camp and we had the VISA rejected

I’ve found that alternate interpretations of well-known characters are becoming more and more popular due to the clutch of remakes and reboots. Though if they’re of high enough quality I don’t really mind.

Well my vote is for Maximus Mighty-Dog Mueller, II (or Mayor Max II) the ruff but fair Mayor of Idyllwild, somewhere in North America. Not for this upstart.

Ancient texts, even when serious, are so relatable that it becomes incredibly funny. I mean, the famous Graffiti from Pompeii are just wonderful!

I have faced a tsunami just once in my life, on Boxing Day 2004 when I was part of a high school trip in Chennai, and bloody hell does this footage bring back some bad memories.

I love well-written apocalypses in progress while the protagonists deal with the ensuing clusterfuck. Not the Michael Bay ones, but stuff like The Poison Belt or SevenEves or The Stand

I have another technical suggestion: make the movie as absurdly beautiful as you can. When I saw the first Alien I didn’t understand much of English but every frame told a story. That’s something even Prometheus got very right! But sadly Covenant was kinda lacking in the gorgeousness scale.

Pluto and Claymore are the only two Japanese manga I’ve read and they rivalled the very best of Western graphic novels for me. Though the actual TV series of Claymore was very disappointing. I hope Pluto does better!
