I have never been able to understand why in many Creationists minds it seems like it has to be a one or the other thing (either ID or Evolution). Why oh why can't one believe that God created the universe and also created the laws of physics that allowed all the amazing things in our universe to happen naturally?

From what I have seen it seems that creationism is more of an alternative for evolution. If you believe that an intelligent being created the universe and planned on evolution (or didn't and it just happened anyways) then even though you believe in creation you would still be an evolutionist.

That is definitely one of the main reasons I didn't even give it a second look (well other than the absolutely terrible reviews all around). I want to play a FF MMO so I can be the same class as all my favorite FF characters, getting rid of that was just the worst idea ever.

Considering this particular niche seems to be a decent MMO that feels like a Final Fantasy game I fail to see what other games have filled it.

Yup if by a certain type of player you mean: "many many more players than any other type of MMO" and by decline you mean: "still has more players than just about every other MMO combined and actually GAINED players with the last expansion" then sure.
