It’s my favorite Paul Feig movie, but then, I don’t like Paul Feig movies that much. I enjoyed a lot of individual things (Kate McKinnon, the effects, big dumb Chris Hemsworth, the villain concept), and while a lot of the humor didn’t land for me, it also felt like the typical Feig humor that doesn’t land for me, so I

Maybe because they don’t want to be pigeonholed into that romantic comedy type of role, and so try to do something really far the opposite. I mean, I’d guess for John Krasinski, even as he seems up for an Office reunion here, probably doesn’t want casting directors dismissing him because they can’t imagine Jim Halpert

I’m the same, I never made Sims of real people, not even myself. And looking at this I do feel a little weird now that I’ve never made a Sim of myself? But the idea totally weirds me out. I’ll stick to made up people/fictional characters from other media.

Actually, it’s not. They don’t specify this in the article, but if you look at the linked data, women reviewers also give higher ratings to movies with *male* protagonists - that 3 percent difference is that the average score for a movie with a male protagonist from women reviewers is 73%, while from men it’s 70%. There’s no need to track dvd service availability because the dvd collection is much broader and very rarely changes. Netflix doesn’t have to acquire any special licensing to buy movies and mail them to people - it does have to do that for streaming, so that’s why streaming availability changes so often.

I agree with you on Oleg - I think we can take the idea that Elizabeth and Philip made it back to Russia to head off the coup against Gorbachev as a hopeful sign for him. We don’t know for sure - we don’t even know for sure that Elizabeth and Philip will succeed (though we can presume that there is no successful coup

I’m not sure what was ‘apoplectic’ about quoting a line of canon. Also, from the wookiepedia article you linked:

“Traveling through hyperspace isn’t like dusting crops, boy! Without precise calculations we could fly right through a star or bounce too close to a supernova, and that’d end your trip real quick, wouldn’t it?”

What’s weird to me is that the footrest was automatic. I enjoy the big recliner seats a lot of theaters have now, but they’re not automatic, you have to press a button to move them. That this footrest was automatic and apparently couldn’t be stopped seems really strange.

The only thing I can remember my parents not wanting me to watch (or rather, asking me to leave the room while they watched) was The Sopranos. I can’t remember how old I was but I do remember thinking it was a boring adult show and I didn’t care anyway. But this can’t have lasted that long, as I also remember being 15

Excalibur is why I can’t stand sex scenes where one partner is nude and the other fully clothed. That armor would hurt.

The Prequels are bad.
