You can get an emulator for those games on any computer (which hook up to tv's via hdmi). And you can use a controller that isnt a complete pile of garbage like the ouya controller is (thats another thing, they charge 50 freaking dollars for that thing, and from what I hear it's pretty horrendous)

The devs never admitted to that scene "making no sense", they only apologized for the possibility of it hurting a person (psychologically. Because people complained) and said they were cutting it from the demo and "rethinking it" for the actual game.

My point is games get judged to a higher standard for "decency" than other artforms do. No progress has been made to treat video games respectfully as an artform, and dennaton games getting pressured into changing their work because it offended some folk is proof of that. Just calling it how I see it

I never said it wasnt controversial, but the controversy sparked a conversation and interest in that movie that turned it into a cult film. Nothing was cut from it; it remained intact. If anything, the controversy served that film positively (it getting banned in a few markets that don't matter doesn't mean anything)

Also, when I watched that demo, it had a totally different meaning for me than it did for others. I interpreted as a satirical re-enactment of a slasher movie set; how they manipulate with exploitative content.

Yeah, I guess I can't really say for sure either way, since (as you said) they could really feel genuine about cutting it, or are just trying to cover their asses from criticism. Hopefully it's the latter.
