I stand by the fact that Stargate Universe was good. It didn’t start good, it was tedious and drawn out but once it found it’s footing it was getting pretty dang good. The characters became more likeable, they started working together as a team, the story stopped being repetitive and actually had some meat to it.

I inferred that she asked someone else to turn the music down while she started researching the noise ordinance, so the two things were happening simultaneously. Expensive stereo systems can also be more complicated than just turning a knob. She’s wealthy, so I’m pretty sure she can afford something a little nicer

Nate, why is there always that one person who starts lecturing the victim about how they could have been even more compliant and how it’s therefore their fault? (“Ah, but how far did you turn it down?”) And why do you choose to be that person?

As a matter of fact, it was a huge home and there was a DJ whom needed to be reached in said huge home...Nate!! No knobs and buttons in the front room. Additionally, what’s wrong with “researching” her rights and the process? White folks do it regularly if ANYONE questions them about anything! Was she just supposed to

YES. The lengths they went to in order to try and “handle” anyone who came to the aid of residents was disgusting.

I lived in Denver Colorado for a while. My wife is a surgeon, I, an engineering exec. I was arrested a few feet from my driveway, because I had the audacity of telling the pig who stopped me for no reason that it wasn’t his damn business what I do for a living. He saw a young black man (about to turn 40) driving a

Please allow me to translate these barely coherent ramblings:

“Hi, everyone, I’m Dead Mike and I’m a racist.”

That is the important point. He’s not just Brazilian- he’s a Brazilian with notably dark skin, which made him an outsider even before he knew he was a mutant. His skin colour is important to his character as much as Luke Cage’s.

No mention of the absolutely HUGE Lars bombshell in this bunch of episodes?

I got in a long Facebook argument with a stranger over this (it was midnight and I couldn’t sleep, Facebook arguments are my ambien) who said DeVos didn’t do anything wrong because now FINALLY parents have a choice where they send their kids to school, like that’s not already a thing that is allowable. I explained

Just another bad apple I suppose:

Because these people tend to be clever in how they frame questions to cast themselves in the best possible light, and I was speaking in generalities.

It’s not as if this is a new phenomenon. People are quite free to like or dislike the things they like, but if they only ever comment on the demographics of things they

Ahh, the prestigious “lot of people I’ve met”...

Uhura (and LaForge) were both specifically from a pan-African coalition, right? It seems like an idea that Rodenberry found appealing. Also Patrick Stewart using his native accent to play a guy named Jean-Luc Picard. As opposed to DS9, where Sisko is unambiguously African American.

Click on each one and complain. That’ll teach ‘em.

This season has been amazing.

Agents of SHIELD, season 5, baby! YES!

I dunno, maybe a complete and utter inability to believe the audience perceived a black woman as the lead character of their show? Coupled with an unwillingness to write an interracial romance, even though the audience was clamoring for it?
