The Shiva trilogy has more or less nothing to do with history; Shiva is a god, and amish imagines him on earth. Furthermore, the guy has publicly admitted to having done very little research about the lives of people in that time.
At least read wikipedia or something before posting?

I only care about one thing: where's my TV club? I do not have enough brain space to keep track of when shows are coming out.

Funnily enough, from today's Mad Men review: "There’s perhaps no better show on television than Mad Men at
using the tiny items and objects people accrue in life to signify the
places they’ve been, the people they’ve known, and the memories they
have. […] But the longer the show
goes on, the more death-haunted it

I just realised that a lot of that comment can be summarised as "the show just decided to make up seven planets none of which ever had a meet-cute."

Oh, come on; it's so rare for sf, especially Doctor Who-type stuff, to try and flesh out a culture in the details of it running, and that's what you pick out to criticise? This system is significantly less complex than even the most basic understanding of out three-way legislative, executive and judiciary system.
And

I've never used a q-tip, so I might be wrong, but I thought that Hanna finally chose not to puncture her eardrum and just clean her ear; it seemed a moment of hope and triumph and things like that.

Seriously, the only thing I could think of was, Girls Is Back! Interestingly, even in the first season I only started liking the show in the fourth episode (Hannah's diary).

You missed the fact that Kahler Jex's history has a lot of parallels with the Doctor's: the dude, after all, mass murdered two whole races. That's what provokes his throwing Jex out the first time.

I'm a new joiner. It's weird - when I watched the first season I
thought, this was good enough for a binge watch but there was no way I
would come in for a second season. But, here I am.
