“and effeminacy”

One of the main characters in genshin impact - one of the biggest cultural ambassadors for china at the moment - is the god of money and contracts. So yeah, kinda weird that is the hill china's government will die on.

anti-Asian racism within the Genshin Impact community.

Are they going to change their name to Twocent now?

The problem is, Tenha is ethnically Korean. It’s already awkward for someone to assume that a streamer is a specific ethnicity from their physical appearance. It gets worse when it’s in an apology video for racial abuse.”

lmao yes, Asians are racist against each other so racism should be allowed, wtf is this?

As someone who lives in a Latin melting pot, the acceptability of casual racism in many of these cultures would give most trump supporters a permanent erection lol.

Just because America does it best doesn’t mean it’s uniquely American.

“Obscene and violent content and those breeding unhealthy tendencies, such as money-worship and effeminacy, should be removed.”

Chinese government is doing bad things, so Argentinian should be allowed to be racist against Chinese? Or just trying to cover up your own racism against Chinese under the guise of virtue signalling?

Perhaps because this is a gaming site and a content creator engaging in racially charged abuse is far more relevant.  The plight of the Uyghurs is certainly of great importance, but engaging in whataboutism doesn’t help in any way.

As someone who had bought stocks in both ($80 average in Tencent, $113 average in NetEase) I’ve been riding this slide for a few months. Feels bad, man.

Tenha and Atsu are both amazing content creators in the Genshin community. This Kylorren dude can GTFO.

Keqing is so damn fun to play, easily one of the best characters to have early in the game. It’s a bit unfortunate that her power ceiling is relatively lower than other characters (mostly due to electro just being not as useful as other elements), but she’s still awesome.

People have been concerned about the influence on China on the western gaming market due to a large Chinese audience that could make a lot of money, with stuff like this it makes you wonder if that’s really something to be worried about when they’re self-sabotaging their own gaming industry.

when he said they are the worst people in the world that probably also means something different in spain

Nope.  Both screen names.  Tenha is Korean, Kylorren is Argentinian.

I mean, is it really that hard for people to tell different ethnicities of Asians? Or he could have googled the streamer or anything before being a dumb fuck online.

The fact that Tenha’s not Chinese at all kinda makes the complaint that it might not be a slur in Argentina rather moot.

Keqing is my favorite character that I have. I’ve only been playing a week, and just reached Adventure rank 15, but sadly do not have all the ingredients need to ascend her. She kicks ass, though.
