I hate the Pats but I don’t hate your comment. As much as the responses to your comment have been on point, that’s an aspect I never really considered: Push otherwise level-headed coaches/quarterbacks into tweaking things or gettin too cute for fear of the Pats already having their number and, suddenly, someone muffs…
If I may play devil’s advocate for a second... Maybe OP is trying to express the idea that it should no longer be remarkable because sexual orientation should have no bearing on how we perceive people.
*high pitched voice* awwwkwaaaaard
I've made it this long precisely because my rifle has no ping... They never hear me coming.
Geez, that must be stressful as hell having both folks in law enforcement. But yeah, I just wish cops didn’t lie, I guess. It’s not nice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m gonna have to check it out. I’m going through this DIY phase in my life and YouTube has proven a boon in developing the skills necessary to be a Mr Fix-It.
We basically agree. I debated adding an ETA to clarify the whole fighting words/defense distinction but my post had already gotten long as shit and I thought I had made as much in my comment already. That whole “whether the person who reacted with violence is guilty of a crime” line was meant to imply as much,…
I didn’t read the post you’re responding to but I tend to generally agree with your position. However, SCOTUS, in its collective infinite wisdom, has determined that sometimes, speech can amount to fighting words... basically, some shit can be infuriating enough that it is not considered protected speech and can open…
Good point. Also, Elliot gets away with the occasional roughing up of the suspect during interrogations... Seems to turn out well for him, so maybe departments across the country can look to implement that as official policy?
A less snarky take: law enforcement, in my opinion, should be the embodiment of ethical practices and policies, which would go a long way towards placing them beyond reproach from the people they serve and protect. Part of the issues with policing and the community today is this culture of mistrust. This is…
You’re totally right... God forbid they have to do actual police work.
“Help me help you. If you don’t start talking, I can’t do anything for you. Be honest and I’ll go to bat for you.” *to self: we’re gonna nail this fucker*
That was massively informative. After reading your response, I immediately recalled the sound of humming transformers outdoors. I guess even though you clearly called these chunks of metal in older chargers “transformers,” my brain didn’t make the connection that those massive, noisy things on electric poles in my…
If it hums? Jesus, that's gotta be one helluva wall charger.
Damn dude... That was vicious
Except it likely wasn’t a straight stretch of road... Double yellow solid lines are usually used on curves or where the driver attempting to pass might be obstructed from view to oncoming traffic. Basically, the whole idea is that passing in those areas is generally the unsafe course of action.
How has this not gotten more love?
Ooof +1
Although I should have started with this: I actually had a few Mormon buddies in law school and one of them really came out of his shell during that time. It was magical watching him experience everything for the first time. We got him trashed a lot.
