If by "extended circles" of your friend you meant all of your friend's friends then i should point out that "extended circle" means friends of your friends and if you just want to post it in your friends it is denoted by "your circles"

Just go inside the Chrome directory and go to the applications folder, there'll be a few folders named like 11.4.8.0, etc. you'll have to delete the ones with the lower number.

Actually maybe they opened the backdoor again cos i recently invited 5 people over to G+ using it.

And i used it thrice in last 2 days.

You can drag links into share box, no matter where you are on Google's property you can do so and also maybe soon we'll have the sand-bar extension for chrome.
