If someone just wants lots of storage and syncing for really cheap, it can be done with google docs and Sync Docs which is really good and like dropbox and damn cheap as it only costs $5.00 for 20GB (but file size limit(1 GB) is puny compared to wuala's(14 GB) limit) so is only good for cheap syncing.

and for chrome users there's the inbuilt feature of click-to-play and you can install the adblock in case you don't even want a placeholder for ads to appear (though the adblocker is not perfect but an ad or two doesn't make your web-surfing horrible).

actually that workaround can be exploited damn badly by using the googlebot string for your browser and visiting whatever site you want to without any trouble of paywalls, except those who have blocked google(<1% of internet i.e. )

+1 thats a really good extension, actually the extensions produced by that author are all great and they even provide you with the results inside the omnibar itself.

click on your username and click on clear notifications, it'll do it.

I am pretty much the happy chrome user here i think cos i just saw this thread and most of those things are solved in chrome canary (about:labs) or with some extension and if you want a good ad blocking use adblock instead of adblock plus :)

i would recommend switching to chrome canary and enabling a feature in about:labs and in case that doesn't work for you use the extension awesome bar.
