The only things I like in newer cars are Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Backup cameras, & the blind spot indicator on the side mirrors. Everything else I found I didn’t really use it or I didn’t want it.
It’s not uncommon that complete bystanders are hurt or killed during chases.

The question is whether the owner had documented the condition of the tires and brakes prior to the rental. Those easily could have been close to smoked before the rental even took place.
I don’t care about miles, per se. I care about *time*. I don’t drive that much, but I do keep cars I like a long time. Batteries seem to degrade over time even if you don’t use them at all.
