Do you worry about hate crimes or school shootings though? Or the horrendous treatment of rape survivors like Audrie and Daisy?

I've been to Australia and I'd far prefer it's "overprotectiveness" to the random acts of violence in the U.S.

So just the other day I was hearing about the missiles we sent into Syria and how we don't have a plan for liberating them, Trump just wanted an excuse to be a bully and go on the offensive. I found out that when the bombing aired on FOX news they used a Toby Keith song as background music and this pretty much

You don't have to be asking for sympathy though. It's clear you value that part of your identity highly, but I wonder if you've considered how many people do need someone to listen to them vs telling them how to deal with their situation?

I'm sorry for what you went through.

Men are more likely to succeed, possibly because of the method, but also due to the fear of failing to "go out like men"

I've had many conversations with people who want more control in their lives, and while I understand that is a good thing to teach your daughter so they won't be rolled over, it strikes me as wanting to navigate and fit into the male dominated world, rather then change it create a truly equal playing field regardless

See, the more research I do on abuse and domestic violence the more I realize how the fact that it's rarely reported and even accepted within certain communities has consequences when a famous person like Lennon is allowed to get away with it while making his image as a good natured beatnik. Read enough about Jimmy

I'd agree.

What got me was that Justin said he didn't want to turn on him because he'd helped him out with his money like any friend would. I just wish that we'd gotten to see it illustrated rather than being told…

I think lots of kids are bullied don't go on shooting sprees, but find other ways in life to justify that insecurity and anger…

The irony was that John Lennon, much as I loved his work, was horrible person who preached individual messages of universal peace but was abusive to his son and had a pretty fucked up relationship with the idea of peace. https://broadly.vice.com/en…
Lennon and Keith's views of the world are fundamentally about the

Bellick's final revelation about being part of a corrupt and self-righteous system designed to protect people like Sarah only to fail was a legitimate turn from the character.

Ultraviolet?

I watched it while drinking and enjoyed the focus on Gretchen and T-Bag, but Don Self was what really irked me.

I still can't get over him playing Dracula in Blade Trinity…

Just finished watching the series on Netflix. Truly a product of it's time, but there's something so watchable about how the characters regularly do terrible things but because they're on the run from others we have most investment in everyone to get away even though we realize they SHOULD be brought to justice.

"Human nature is in actuality, human habit" This quote, combined with all I've learned about how difference society and culture is outside the U.S. has convinced me that whether it's impossible to change people is irrelevant, we have to give them the tools in enough forms that it's more normal to be concerned about

He framed it as her somehow being able to connect and soothe him, like so many men want women to fix their problems and provide solace. Honestly it sounds a lot like whatever Casey Afleck is alleged to have done with the woman he crawled into bed with…

Why is it disgusting to look at someone who feels violated and feel more anger that they didn't feel they had a choice then at the partner who MADE them feel like they didn't have a choice…?
