Came here to ask why Rainn wasn’t being written as “Rainnfall Heat Wave Rising Sea Levels Wilson” but I see now that the name change only applied to social media accounts, which makes those articles from November decidely less dramatic.

My brain hurts reading the movie title, Teen Wolf: The Movie. I didn’t realize there was a Teen Wolf tv series up until now (based on the 1985 movie), which means that a more accurate title would fall down the same High School Musical colon well - Teen Wolf: The Movie: The TV Series: The Movie

Derry Girls is a fun show, but darn it if Lisa McGee couldn’t have used another set of eyes on her storyboards when she was constructing her seasons. This show had numerous occasions where a season’s worth of a story was crammed into a single episode (examples: James’s will-he/won’t-he return to England with his mom

It’s a curious reflection on the state of broadcast television, but I see precisely zero entries from ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX. I can’t say that it feels like an oversight. I haven’t watched any of them in years either.

Blame it on Rio... although I guess a Brazilian court approved that one, so maybe not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Him?

Man.... too young. He was a heck of a drummer. One of the few modern drummers with a real identifiable, distinctive style. Check out “Styrofoam Boots/It’s All Nice on Ice, Alight” to hear him unload on that drum kit.

I absolutely love Justified, but I have yet to see one of these revivals/reboots/re-whatevers that approached the quality of the original run. Very much hope this one is the exception.

Aww... no mention of Kristian Bruun, one of the most game celebrity guests on Comedy Bang Bang. Sounds like we can add this to the Bruun filmography that Scott can gleefully ridicule on a future episode.

Sorta interesting that you don’t so much leave the show anymore as disappear for stretches working on other projects until finally calling it quits. Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Cecily were all absent for long spans their final years working on other things. So basically, the same as my senior years

I had to go look it up. Barry didn’t even get an Emmy nomination for Sound Editing this year. Absurd oversight.

Apple TV+? Looks like Trying is coming back for a fourth season... unless they pull a David Zaslav on it.

I find it impossible not to read “Don DeLillo” as Don DiMello. Andy Daly, you’re too good.

His Roman Coppola collaborations have resulted in some terrifically reviewed movies, but to me they just don’t have the same spark as those earlier films when Owen Wilson was his writing partners. I can pretty much draw a line right there between the Wes Anderson movies I’ll happily watch over and over versus the ones

I just played through this a few weeks ago since they have been practically giving it away lately on Steam. Other commenters have covered my general impression of the game (decent but not great), but nobody yet has mentioned my biggest gripe. Playing on the PC with a controller, there’s quite a few more action to map

I enjoyed this show, but even as a casual fan, “extremely funny” (emphasis mine) feels like a stretch.

“Add more shots of the horsey!” - said somebody cutting this trailer together

That’s a shame. He gave one of the few interesting preferences among that mostly milquetoast cast.

I don’t want to give this too much thought, but Aubrey Plaza is 38.

By the time Scorcese was 38, he’d already directed Mean Streets, Raging Bull, and Taxi Driver. By 38, Spielberg had directed Jaws, Close Encounters, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and E.T. Meanwhile, Aubrey Plaza’s biggest credits have been as an ensemble

Maybe I misheard a throwaway line during the prison break sequence, but it was especially fitting that the entire Narkina 5 prison system was brought down by a bureaucratic mistake that sent a released prisoner back to Narkina instead of a different prison. Even if I heard that incorrectly, I’m going to stick with
