Scrolled down to the comments to say the same thing, but you were much more eloquent about it already.

host a lineup of amateur bakers including ... Marshawn Lynch

Sounds very much in the vein of The Great Canadian Baking Show, which, if I remember the story right, Levy actively pursued to host. GCBS lost a lot of spark after he gave up his hosting duties.

Maybe Neal Brennan has some free time on his hands to help Dave out.

SNL may be a lot of things, but even with the expected downturn in viewers from a major cast overhaul season, they still turn in pretty decent (for 2022) same day ratings. It’s routinely above 4M viewers, give or take, and even the highest rated comedy on TV, Young Sheldon, is only in the upper-4M same-day. I’m

I loved The Wire, but it feels difficult to slot any show at number one that produced a season as downright boring as Season 2.

Deadwood down at 7 told me all I needed to know about this list.

St. Peter: “Let’s see here. Pedophile? Spouse abuse? Adultery? Let’s crunch the numbers aaaaaand... Limbo it is!  Wait -- tax evasion?!?!”

Colin was fine, but saying he was far and away one of the best parts of the film” feels a little generous.

Why stop at compensating just the families of children killed? There’s also the kids and adults in the building that survived, but witnessed a horror they will carry with them the rest of their lives, and then had to hear this was all a hoax.

One curious thing about the first season of The Mosquito Coast was that it kept teasing a lot of reveals, but never actually got around to revealing anything. It just sorta... ended. Season two will already feel like an improvement if they finally get around to filling in the details that were only alluded to in the

I don’t think Apatow fatigue is a factor, especially because I didn’t see his name come up a whole lot in the marketing of Bros, but I see the guy hasn’t had $100M grossing movie in nearly a decade now. He’s having a bell curve of a career at the moment, at least when you look at the box office numbers.

I still don’t know what the underperformance of Bros tells us, if anything. I don’t think you can blame it on “Middle America” when clearly the coasts aren’t turning out either.

SNL has a format, and by jove, they’re going to stick to it!, but I’ve love to see them get more creative with the structure of the show. There used to be some risk-taking 25+ years ago (the Charles Grodin one with an episode long running gag, Francis Ford Coppola directs...). An easy suggestion: when you have a

We just signed up for the free 3 months of Apple TV+ through Best Buy. Severance was worth the price of (admittedly, free) admission.

After talking about it for a long time and never pulling the trigger, this is the month where we’re pulling the plug on Netflix and HBO Max to let some content build back up we’re

In response to the article title, I leave this...

He’s not “Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam” to me. He’s “Undeclared’s Charlie Hunnam.”

If you’re determined to pull the first host of the season from Tom Gun: Maverick, why not do the obvious choice and bring back in Jon Hamm, who can also promote the new Fletch movie? Who out there is saying, “I don’t normally watch Saturday Night Live, but gosh darn it, if Miles Teller is hosting, COUNT ME IN”?

The British Ghosts is pretty darn delightful, assuming you have an HBO Max membership and want a breezy way to kill a half hour. I haven’t seen any of the American version, but I have trouble imagining they can produce an episode as good as “Free Pass” from the first season/series of the BBC show.

Deadwood could make a second appearance on this list for killing off William Bullock because the child actor’s mother was a pain to work with.
