Now appearing in a gorgeous new art style

I wonder how many viewers will be put off by the upcoming major time jump and actor changes. I know my spouse has no idea it’s coming, and even though the show suffers from pacing issues (imo), we’re most invested in Milly Alcock and Emily Carey’s characters after watching episode 5. Hopefully the casting change works.

I don’t know if they announce featured -> main cast promotions ahead of time, but James Austin Johnson has to be getting bumped up, right? He’s one of the few left now that has a roster of impressions fit for the cold open.

As someone who hasn’t read the source material and trying to stay away from spoilers if I can, I can’t help but notice that the show is coming across like it’s a little too beholden to the book. At least, that’s how I’m trying justify how the show is moving at a breakneck speed at the slowest pace possible. It’s

Unfortunately, this discussion is making me run through a mental checklist trying to recall what “intimate” scenes Sean Bean has been in over his career.

The cast size last year was 21. Losing 6 was finally getting it steered back to a manageable size. Maybe adding like 2 would have balanced the need for fresh faces without turning this upcoming season into another overly bloated affair. Part of the charm of SNL is watching a cast member break out, but it seems

I’ve never seen a camera more nervous than trying to figure out what to do with Alexandra Daddario’s dress during The White Lotus best anthology show win.

No word yet on whether or not they met Jim Cummings number to reprise Pooh’s voice?

A part of me wonders if Netflix underhandedly requested the rating simply because beating the drum of “Ana de Armas” + “NC-17" is going to get eyeballs.

I listened to this episode with Glenn Beck (shudder) and Rob’s recent Fly on the Wall episode with Carvey and Spade and I gotta admit, for the guy best known for “Kevin! Kev-in! The Kev-man!” he really handles himself well in long-form interviews. Fly on the Wall was a bit of an eye-opener in that regard because he

Two episodes in and, honestly, the highest praise I can give it is that it isn’t that bad. And with Better Call Saul wrapped up, it’s nice to have something in our one-hour-of-free-time-after-the-kids-go-to-bed tv schedule that at least feels like appointment television. There don’t seem to be too many of those shows

I’m glad they wasted several minutes on a scene between Rhaenyra and Rhaenys (cripes, the names on this show are as forgettable as they are hard to read) with Rhaenys coming in strong with the “I’m gonna lay some real world knowledge on you,” only to proceed to tell Rhaenyra exactly what she and the audience already

Can I nominate HBO for both winning and losing the summer? They kick off the summer with a bonkers season of Barry, Westworld defies all the odds and somehow becomes interesting again, and The Rehearsal might now be my favorite show of the year.

And then David Zaslav came through the door...

I’ve seen this discount getting a lot of news lately - mostly off of the heels of pulling a bunch of content - but they run these discounts like every six months. I’m about halfway through my second consecutive $7/mo-for-6-months plan. I don’t recall this being newsworthy any other time they offered discounts.

No mention that Thomas from the acting class also later appears as the EMT? I actually clapped at that point... and then was embarrassed.

I feel like some have continued on a new platform - One Day at a Time, for example - and when Seeso folded, some of their programming landed on other services. I don’t think it’d be outside the realm of possibility that NBC Universal would want to milk a little more profit out of their few Peacock shows with buzz by

I can’t be the only one in this boat, but the reason we continue paying for 2/3s of our streaming services is solely because my kids are glued to their children’s/animation programming. I’d have dumped Netflix and Disney+ ages ago if it weren’t for my kids protesting.

Can’t wait to watch Rutherford Falls and Girls5Eva when they get licensed to Netflix or HBOMax!

We watched The Sea Beast last night as a family and everyone from the parents down to the toddler were entertained. The lasting impression for me, however, was that it was about one screenplay revision away from really coming together. I don’t want to be the adult in the room nit-picking the plot of a children’s

Lea! Lea! It’ll look better if you turn away from the camera.”
“Is this good?”
“More. Moooooore. Alright, now just a smidge further.
“I’m facing the wall.”
“Perfect! Now if you’d just turn a little more...
