I find the Sierra adventures almost unbearable to replay as an adult (with the exception of the Quest for Glory series, which I have a soft spot for), whereas the LucasArts adventures by and large are still a delight.

I still have trouble wrapping my head around that Robin Williams crushes his songs, while Will Smith sounds absolutely tone-deaf in the remake. It just seems so... backwards.
At a certain point, why not just title the article “The best tv shows streaming on Peacock and IMDB TV”?
Nothing about the promotional materials inspired confidence, but Dave has been one of my favorite viewing experiences of the year.
Well I’ll be darned. Who knew Scar was gay.
I’m unsettled by whatever is going on with Ellen Paige’s hairline in the header image.
My kids love this movie, but I can’t ever get over the big yawner of the whole third act. The whole thing felt like one or two script revisions away from being complete. The motivations for the Deavors just didn’t feel locked in to me. Not to over-analyze a cartoon, but when your plan of action amounts to making…
I have to agree with the Vulture take. Remove the opening sequence, and what you’re left with is forgettable at best.
The kids watch this on nearly every road trip we take, and while Cars is fitfully funny at best, this exchange kills me every time:
Sally: “[The road] looks awful.”
Lightning: “Well, it matches the rest of the town.”
Had to head over to IMDB to confirm that, yeah, Nicholas Cage isn’t associated with John Wick in any way.... yet?
I have this exact opposite reaction whenever I see either of them guest on Comedy Bang Bang.
I maintain that The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was the best picture of 2007, but the academy only gave it a couple yawner nominations.
I’ll go to bat that Odd Squad is the most bearable show in the PBS Kids afternoon line-up. It’s the only one that feels like a throwback to some of the quirkier PBS kid shows of my childhood.
I’m not sure when John Boyega last saw the original trilogy, but huge stretches of those movies involve the core trio being split up. The amount of time they’re all in the same scene together across those three films doesn’t add up to a whole lot.
I didn't expect it, but I kept holding out hope that The Detectorists would make an appearance on this list. Easily a Top 5 of the Decade show for me.
Honestly, I’d love for SNL to swap the music segments on weeks when a major standup is the host (e.g. Mulaney) and let the host do a couple standup sets instead.
The End Of The F***ing World: Season 2 — Dear lord, why would they mess with a good thing and make a second season of that show? Season 1 ended perfectly.
I absolutely missed the news last month that AP Bio is being brought back for another season on NBC’s upcoming streaming platform. That’s the best (old) news I’m gonna read all day!
No Knottsaissance is complete without Private Eyes
The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh has never fully been released on home video, to my understanding, so this is a real treat. It one of the best looking animated television series ever made.
