The problem is assuming that what works for Batman will work for all superheroes. Gritty realism works with Batman because underneath it all, Batman tales are procedurals with an insane billionaire at the helm. You can't say the same about Superman.

Plus death threats to Sue Storm and racist comments directed to Johnny, for good measure.

The episode pretty much encapsulates everything about this particular series: well-shot in certain places, very strong character work, to the point that the plot suffers, and the Doctor himself, while being given the chance to do everything, does nothing.

Steam is dominant because they offer the best sales. You want UPlay or Origin to compete? Tell their owners to stop being bad at selling.

You could also be talking about Arrow. Or Blacklist.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I wanted from this show.

There's always been a lot of this with gaming, the idea that loving games means loving something that feels like it's under attack... PC gaming under threat from console gaming, "real" console gaming under threat from Wii gaming, hardcore gaming under threat from mobile gaming. Some of that's embarrassing to think

And yet this season's been at its weakest with the new monsters and stories.

So he's a life model decoy?

Incorrect: Felicity Smoak is the pinnacle of hotness.

So I can finally start watching this show? The first episode was unbearable.

Now playing

You're really missing the context on these jokes. For starters, Conan has used the virgin nerd joke on himself countless times. He even did a Fan Correction where he allegedly baited every single comic nerd in existence just so that he could sic a pack of jocks on them. The joke ended with one of those jocks waiting

Easy for you to say; you're a bear. The rest of us don't have your ursine constitution.

What other news reporter comedian? There are three of them in the left wing (Colbert, Stewart, Oliver). Of the three, Colbert's stance is usually that of a hardline Conservative, because his program is satirical.

Flappy Birds is actually an example of a good game. Yeah, it looked like shit, but the mechanics were simple, easy to understand, highly skill-based, and addictive as hell. It got popular because people just had to beat it, felt accomplished for getting further than anyone else, and punished you for your mistakes, not

I think your problem here is you assume that the games that aren't getting greenlit are in any way good. Perhaps if you showed an example of one such game unjustly ignored by the public?

What was the context in which Jon Stewart said "fuck you" to Norway? Because depending on the circumstances, that's either really funny, or in poor taste. Having watched enough of the Daily Show, I'm gonna assume it's the former, but again, I'm lacking context here. Maybe link a clip?

A pity that they're abandoning the Miami Vice aesthetic. On the plus side, I don't have to see coked-out skinny Pam anymore. She just didn't make sense.

I'm just saying, don't blame Moffat alone for something that's been around since RTD's time. Me? I'm just interpreting it as the ultimate dickery that the Master could ever pull: making the Doctor feel sexually uncomfortable (in the worst sense of the word) around her brand-spankin' new body.

Not sure if they make the McRib differently in different countries, but I found it to be... ok. nothing spectacular, but definitely food.
